I can't sign in — what to try
Most sign-in problems come down to three things.
When you try to sign in to the Benefi app and hit a roadblock, the problem usually traces back to one of three things. Most members resolve their access within minutes by checking these in order.
Check if you've completed initial setup
The most common sign-in blocker happens when someone tries to log in before completing their initial account setup. When your employer first adds you to Benefi, you receive either an email or text message with a personalized setup link. This link expires after a set period and must be used to create your password before you can sign in normally.
To fix this:
- Search your email inbox for "Welcome to Benefi" or check recent texts
- Look for the setup link in that message
- Click the link and follow the prompts to set your password
- Once complete, return to the app and sign in with your new credentials
If your setup link has expired, contact your HR team or broker to request a new invitation.
Verify you're using the correct email
Your Benefi account is tied to the specific email address your employer has on file. This might be different from the email you use day-to-day, especially if your company uses work email addresses for benefits enrollment.
Common scenarios:
- Personal vs. work email: Your employer may have used your work email instead of personal (or vice versa)
- Old email address: An outdated email from when you first started
- Typos during enrollment: A misspelled version of your intended email
Contact your HR team or broker to confirm which email address is registered for your Benefi account. They can look this up quickly and correct any errors.
Reset your password
If you've confirmed your email is correct and you've already set up your account, the issue is likely your password.
Use the password reset option:
- On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?"
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your email for the reset link
- Create a new password following the security requirements
- Sign in with your new password
