When you need to see a doctor through Benefi, you have three ways to connect: text, phone, or video. Most members connect with a doctor in just a few minutes, any time of day or night. Here's how to make your first visit smooth and get the care you need.
Starting your visit
Open the Benefi app and tap "See a Doctor" to begin. You'll answer a few quick questions about your symptoms and preferred connection method. Your doctor reviews this information before connecting with you.
Choose the method that works best for you:
- Text: Perfect for quick questions, prescription refills, or when you can't talk
- Phone: Great for discussing symptoms or getting advice when you're on the go
- Video: Best when your doctor needs to see something, like a rash or swelling
All Benefi doctors are U.S.-based and licensed in your state. They have access to your medical history from previous visits, so you don't need to repeat yourself each time.
Prepare for your visit
Have this information ready:
- Current symptoms and when they started
- Medications you're taking (including over-the-counter)
- Any allergies
- Pharmacy location for prescriptions
Making the most of your visit
Be specific about your symptoms. Instead of "I don't feel well," describe what you're experiencing: "I've had a sore throat and fever since Tuesday." The more details you share, the better your doctor can help.
Your doctor can diagnose most common conditions, prescribe medications, and recommend next steps. They'll send prescriptions directly to your pharmacy. If you need lab work or specialist care, they'll guide you on where to go and what to ask for.
