Where to fill your prescription

Nationwide pharmacy network — chains and most independents.

April 19, 2026 · 2 min read

You can fill your Benefi prescription at most pharmacies nationwide. Our network includes major chains like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Walmart, plus thousands of independent pharmacies. Just show your Benefi member ID at the pharmacy counter when picking up your medication.

Finding a pharmacy near you

The easiest way to find a participating pharmacy is through the Benefi app. Open the app and tap "Find a Pharmacy" to see locations near you. You can search by ZIP code or use your current location. The app shows each pharmacy's address, phone number, and hours.

If you don't have the app handy, you can ask at any major chain pharmacy. Most participate in our network. Call ahead if you want to confirm before making the trip.

What to bring to the pharmacy

When filling a Benefi prescription, bring:

  • Your Benefi member ID (physical card or shown on your phone)
  • The prescription from your Benefi doctor
  • A photo ID

Your pharmacist will process the prescription through our network. If your medication is on the Benefi formulary, you'll pay $0 at the counter. For medications not covered by the formulary, the pharmacist can tell you the cost before filling.

Transferring prescriptions

Already have prescriptions at another pharmacy? Most pharmacies can transfer them for you. Just give your new pharmacy the prescription number and your previous pharmacy's phone number.

Prescription costs

Your costs depend on your plan and the specific medication:

  • Formulary generics: $0 copay (500+ medications on Essential, 1,000+ on Plus)
  • Other medications: Variable copay or cash price

The pharmacy will tell you the exact cost before filling any prescription. If a medication isn't covered or costs more than expected, ask your pharmacist about generic alternatives that might be on the $0 formulary.

Remember, prescriptions from Benefi doctors are sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. For urgent medications, let your doctor know during your visit so they can send it right away.
